One of the best conferences I have ever been to is the Disney Social Media Moms event. This invite-only event is one of a kind and an amazing experience. I have been very fortunate to attend the main conference twice, and On The Road events several times now. As a huge Disney family and influencer, I have never taken these opportunities for granted and am thrilled to share with you the latest happenings with the Disney Parks, Cruise lines, and movies. continued
The Disney Social Media Moms Celebration is full of surprises. We really didn’t know what to expect. The organizers keep it pretty secret up until the very end–speakers, sponsors, and special events included. That’s what makes this conference so different from others. continued
After the “it’s a small world” event, I was on a high. It could have been that I was up very early, but I think it was also the energy in the air. The Disney Social Media Moms Celebration was about to get underway. We walked into the registration area, and the fun began.
The girls were greeted by several Characters and Emma couldn’t wait to get her arms around them. While I was checking in, the girls were off getting their pictures taken with their newfound friends and learning about the Disney Wild About Safety campaign. It’s a fun campaign that helps kids understand the importance of being safe in various situations. continued
For the past several years, Disney has hosted a conference for social media savvy parents. It’s a place where bloggers, big and small, get together. What makes this conference different from others is that Disney invites the attendees. Since they keep the list small, those who are invited have the option of bringing their families. In years past, the conference has been hosted at Walt Disney World. This year, it will be held at Disneyland. Our home away from home.
Last year I had the pleasure of attending Disney on the Road in San Francisco. I was able to meet so many wonderful people, and it made the desire to go to the main event that much greater. This year, I will be going to the main event and I am beyond thrilled.
The conference is less than three weeks from now. I can’t wait to share the experience with you. Make sure you follow along on Twitter under #DisneySMMoms. If you would like more information about the celebration, visit the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration website.
This week, I had the privilege of joining the Disney Social Media Moms “On the Road” half-day conference at the glorious Claremont hotel in Berkeley. This invite-only event was created by Disney to spread the word about new events taking place at the Parks, while empowering moms with stories from amazing speakers. It’s hard to imagine, but in just a half day, I left feeling recharged and ready for what’s ahead.
Did someone say BlogHer? Oh yes, I did. I’ve had BlogHer envy for years. This year, I’m going to BlogHer! It’s really getting hard for me to contain my excitement.
BlogHer is a conference for women bloggers (and a few brave men,) who want to learn new ideas, network with brands and just have a great time. There are amazing speakers, food, freebies and parties. Most of all, I’m excited to be sans toddler for a few hours each day meeting new friends and catching up with others.
Are you going to BlogHer this year? I’d love to meet you. BlogHer is just around the corner and I’d love to connect with you before we go! Leave a comment with your @twitter handle so I can follow you! You can find me @cambowman!
