Have you had a Disneyland candy cane yet? For the last few years, we have eagerly awaited the announcement of handmade candy canes at Disneyland. These handmade candy canes have been a Disneyland tradition for over 35 years. They are hand-pulled and made at the Candy Palace on Main Street, U.S. A.
You know when you wake up and try to remember the day and think, how did we get here? The summer months just flew by and now we are scrambling around in disbelief. School begins in just a couple days and like every year, it snuck up on us.

I’ve been writing about Disneyland for a long time. I think Emma was just 15 months old when we when to Disneyland for the first time. Over the years we’ve managed to spend a lot of time at Disneyland, a couple trips to Walt Disney World, and Aulani seems to be our home away from home. This summer, we’ll add Disneyland Paris to our Disney dream list. Writing about Disney has been a passion of mine; something that I’ve loved doing over the years and will keep doing as long as we keep going. continued
We’ve been taking our girls to Disneyland since our oldest daughter was just 15 months old. Since then, we’ve been hitting the parks with both of our kids on a regular basis. Our oldest daughter is now eight years old, and our younger daughter is four. Our older daughter is fearless and will try anything. Our younger daughter is much more cautious and timid. Regardless, taking them to Disneyland at early ages has been such an awesome thing for us, and given us really precious memories. continued
Using anything “Disney” and “magic” in the same sentence can sometimes feel cliché to me, especially when I’ve written so much about Disneyland over the past few years. Regardless, I’d like to go back and recount two stories I’ve shared verbally with friends many times, where our family actually witnessed some of that magic Walt intended for visitors to his park. continued
Disney Social Media Moms has done it again. They’ve announced the dates for their annual conference, one I’m sure a lot of us wouldn’t want to miss! But did you know the Disney Social Media Moms celebration has an On the Road conference too?
Last month, I had the pleasure of attending Disney Social Media Moms, On the Road event at Disneyland. For those of you unfamiliar with the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration, it’s an invitation-only conference that provides social media content, Disney updates, and empowering speakers.
The DisneySMMC first started at WDW in Florida. But over the years, it has grown into a highly coveted event. So much so, they started the On the Road series. This smaller, one-day conference is jammed pack with amazing content. So you can imagine my excitement to be invited back. continued
Last week I had the chance to see the premier of Frozen – Live at the Hyperion theater. Before I go on, I’ll just start with this… it’s amazing. continued
Next week I will be heading up to Disneyland for the world premiere of Frozen – Live at the Hyperion theater. This is a much anticipated premiere as it will be replacing Aladdin. Those are some pretty big shoes to fill as “Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular” ran for 13 years.
Frozen, the musical, will open at the Hyperion Theater in the Disney California Adventure Park on May 27, 2016. The new Frozen production is based off of the 2013 animated feature film and the creators have worked hard at keeping the magic alive in the theatrical performance.
The 1,873-seat Hyperion theater is the perfect venue for such a powerful musical. This theater was made for something spectacular, I think Walt Disney Imagineering made sure this was going to be it. I can’t wait to get a first glance at the performance and will tell you all about it when I get back.
Disclosure: I will be attending the blogger preview night to provide you with the most up to date information about Disneyland. Tickets were provide. All opinions are that of GUG.
Here’s a complete review of Frozen – Live at the Hyperion.
We have a new favorite in the Disney California Adventure park. Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters opened in March and we can’t get enough of it. This week, my girls were singing the theme song before we even had our bags packed and ready to hit the road. continued
