Beer, Brats, and Ocktoberfest

One of my favorite places to travel is Germany. I don’t know what it is, but I can eat my weight in brats. When I was a flight attendant, the first thing I would do on a layover is find a brat cart. I would indulged in one, if not two, perfectly cooked brats.

I’ve never been to Ocktoberfest in Germany, so we’ve recreated the event here at home. Beer and brats go hand in hand. It’s no wonder Sagg’s and Gordon Biersch have come together to introduce their new Beer Bratwurst. Saag’s is known for their authentic German sausages and Gordon Biersch has been a leader in brewing German style beers for a very long time. It’s no surprise this partnership is hitting the stores.

BratsandBrewsEven though we didn’t make it to Germany, we were able to enjoy our brats and brews right here at home. I sautéed up some onions, garlic, peppers, and peperoncini’s for a fun topping. That, with a squeeze of mustard, really hit the spot. However you prefer your brats and brews, think about grabbing the new selection of Beer Bratwurst from Saag’s. Delish!

I was provided samples from Saag’s and Gordon Biersch for review. All opinions are my own.
