We sent out invitations this week. Hopefully this will give our guests enough time to plan for the trip if they’ll be coming to San Francisco for the wedding. My sister called to RSVP over the phone. I laughed and thanked her. But then I asked her to please still fill in and return the RSVP card. Call me old-fashioned, but I still like to see the cards come in. We’ll need them so we have an accurate count for the caterer, can plan the seating arrangements, and know who is coming and who is not.

I’ve read many articles stating that I should have numbered the RSVP card in the case that someone (like my sister) sends it in without including their name, or the name of their guest. I thought this was a great idea. Wouldn’t you guess, I forgot!

So in addition to checking the little “accept with pleasure” box and indicating how many of you are attending (you are coming, aren’t you?!) please ensure you also write your name (and, if appropriate, spouse’s/partner’s/guest’s name) on the card before dropping it in the mail. Thank you.

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone soon. Don’t forget to RSVP by July 1st.
