Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day is out in theaters today. Last night, I got an advanced screening of the flick with a couple teenagers I know. Kids can be brutal critics, so I wasn’t sure how this would go.

The great news is all three of us loved this movie. I don’t want to give any spoilers about it, but some general reasons why we loved it so much…

  • We’ve all had bad days, but none as bad as this family had.
  • This movie showed an entire household hilariously dealing with what would otherwise send people over the edge.
  • The beauty of the story is their travel back from the brink of disaster to end with… you’ll have to see the movie to find out.

Because this movie is so clean, we all left feeling inspired that no matter how bad life gets, it can’t get worse than what Steve Carrel and Jennifer Garner’s characters and their family went through in this fast-paced, over-the-top, great-news-for-a-bad-day, fun-for-all-ages movie.

Good review :). I didn’t like it as much as you did but I was glad it at least had a (mostly) happy ending.

I know that this is supposed to be a kids movie, but as a 50 year old with no kids, I want to see it anyway!

Dennis is a 40+ male without kids. I think he liked it a lot! Age is just a number anyway! ;)

I’m wondering about this movie, too! I usually love kids movies but sometimes the spoofy mishaps are just a bit much.
