One of my favorite holiday memories involves my grandfather. Every Christmas, we’d drive thirty minutes to a neighboring town to buy him a Hickory Farms gift pack for Christmas. His favorite was the Summer Sausage and strawberry hard candies. He kept a small knife in his pocket. He’d take it out, slice a piece off with that knife, and hand it to me with a salt cracker. He’d also sneak a candy to me when no one was looking. Such a simple memory, but priceless to me. continued
Yo Ho Matey! Yep, Jake and the Neverland Pirates are a huge hit in our house. Not only does big sister love them, but itty-bitty does too. I’m excited to share with you their new CD. Disney Junior has produced a new CD with songs from the hit TV series Jake and the Neverland Pirates. If you have Jake, Izzy or Cubby fans, this is a must have. continued

It’s been a really long time since I’ve seen a Care Bears movie. Watching the new movie, Care Bears: A Belly Badge For Wonderheart, it brought back so many warm memories. Now I get to share these memories with my daughter. It was so fun watching this movie with her and seeing her reaction to characters I’ve loved so much. continued

I have a love/hate relationship with my dentist. I love everyone who works there, I hate going. I have always had a hard time keeping my gums healthy. Just something I’ve struggled with my entire life. I get my teeth cleaned every three months, religiously. The American Dental Association recommends replacing your toothbrush every three months. Not a problem for me, but the rest of my family may need a reminder. Now that our daughter is brushing and flossing on her own, it’s important that we stay on top of her dental hygiene. FlossAndBrush.com has come up with a way to do so without the hassle of remembering, and they shared their idea with my family.
The last few days have been hot around here. I love warm weather, possibly because it’s so rare in San Francisco. Sometimes, the heat gives us a natural excuse to go seek out frozen yogurt. We were excited to see a new Yogurtland open up nearby. Mark your calendars, Yogurtland is having a party, and I’m giving away a gift card for your family to try Yogurtland too.
From July 8 – September 15, Yogurtland will introduce six new frozen yogurt and sorbet flavors and toppings inspired by the zany Looney Tunes characters. continued
A few days ago, my friend Paula sent me an adorable dress for Addie. She’s been very busy over at A Little Bird Dress and Things. She makes adorable baby, toddler, and children clothing. Not to mention, head bands, hair clips, and can even monogram your items. I’m guessing she can make just about anything. Addie is adorable in her little dress and hair clip!
begged asked Paula if she’d be willing to giveaway one of her cute creations. She was super happy to do it. I know you guys love giveaways, and I think you’ll love these dresses. continued
One thing I noticed since having Addie is the new “box deliveries” going on. Basically, you never have to leave your home. You can get food, clothes, toys, and crafts all delivered right to your door. Personally, I think this idea is genius. I really don’t have time to shop anymore now that I have a four year old and a new baby at home. We’ve become so active during our weekdays that I really don’t want to spend my weekends shopping. continued
